Edited by: CCP Lemur on 14/10/2009 11:57:50 Thanks for the feedback, please keep it coming. We have a couple of awesome ideas still up our sleeves for this that will hopefully make it to Sisi after the next sprint (2 weeks from now)

1. Integrating the Fleet Finder with the Fleet pane group is probably not such a good idea, since people tend to position and size their fleet panes in a great many individual ways but always in such a manner that it works best for them to their preference. With the FF integrated into that window pane, it breaks the size we choose for the Fleet pane, for example grouped with another pane or positioned vertically between the overview and the drone pane. If the FF tab is selected, it defaults to its intended size, thereby horribly breaking the rest of someone's UI positioning. Depending on where you have the pane positioned it'll either redraw itself over other elements, or incorrectly group itself with them.
This was moved into the window on purpose. The UI person will go over it during the next sprint. Can't really comment on any details.

2. The sliders used for configuring which standings or security levels to use to allow/disallow to join fleet are very sensitive, and extremely hard to get into place. An option to type it in might be simpler, or something like up/down UI arrows.
Will try this out myself and see.

Btw, the new Broadcast options & settings are sweet, but it might be an idea to integrate the broadcast settings with the new option for visibility of broadcasts (subordinates/superiors/none), set the default visibility of broadcasts to "none", and have that sub window containing the broadcast buttons visible by default (I like how it is now persistant across the various tabs btw).
Glad you like it.

Also, the Fleet window itself, it seems to default now to a static list ... either there should be an easy readily available way for pilots to identify which wing / squad they are located in (would be a killer) or it might be an idea to have it default to Hierarchy view. A lot depends on people knowing where they are in fleet as fast as possible, without much room for extra clicks or switching or scrolling.
the settings are remembered (not sure it made it to sisi yet. So if you set your view to hierarchy it will stay this way for all future fleets until you set otherwise.

Btw, where did the option go to right click yourself and paste a fleet link into a channel ... ? Also, if the ability drag a Fleet from the Fleet Finder listing to a channel is intended, I am guessing that ability is broken
This option is gone, the leftover drag is a bug.
